Bourbonr Tax Day
Today is the Tax Day! For some, it’s a dreaded day because you had to stroke a large check (that means you made money so take comfort in that). For others, you received a refund (that means you let the government hold on to you money interest-free for a year :)) and it’s time to splurge on a nice bottle. Or, you’re like me and work in public accounting so today is right up there with Christmas when it comes to ranking holidays. Whatever your circumstances, here are a few bottles to enjoy today.
Eagle Rare 10 – Because what’s more American than bourbon, an eagle and paying taxes.
Wild Turkey Rare Breed – For those that (wrongly) believe Benjamin Franklin wanted to use the Wild Turkey as the as the nation’s symbol.
Basil Hayden – No real tie in here. Just good bourbon that’s affordable.

Basil Hayden’s – yummy!
Get the Bird. After the single barrel label was removed from Eagle Rare, it has tasted watered down to me. Basil Hayden’s? Never tried it. Have noticed that Wild Turkey products are bought out in some stores.
Just curious, I have literally never seen Eagle Rare 10 yr on a shelf at a bar or in a liquor store. Where can you find a bottle, especially in April?
