Maker’s Mark Announces American Pharoah Bottle

I’ve never been a big fan of collector versions of products. In fact, the last collector’s edition I bought was the Michael Jordan Silver Wheaties box. But, this is a pretty cool bottle. If you’re a die-hard Maker’s Mark or Horse racing fan (or know someone that is) this may be worth picking up.

In 2015, American Pharoah captivated the hearts of fans worldwide by becoming the first-ever winner of horse racing’s fabled Grand Slam, and now, in anticipation of the 2016 racing season, Maker’s Mark is celebrating this extraordinary achievement with a limited edition bottle that features the legendary blue and yellow silks. To further mark the occasion, Maker’s Mark and the Zayat family will also make a donation benefitting the Kentucky Derby Museum.

Endorsed and supported by American Pharoah owner Ahmed Zayat, the bottle features the now legendary blue and yellow silks of Zayat Stables. “American Pharoah proved to an entire generation of racing fans that the impossible can be achieved,” said Zayat. “It was a joy for us to race him each and every time he took the track, and we thank Maker’s Mark for their fitting tribute to this once-in-a-lifetime racehorse.”

The limited-edition Maker’s Mark American Pharoah bottle will be available at select locations nationwide beginning on May 1st, 2016. Suggested retail price is $74.99. Please check your local retailer for availability.

The bottle will be available at select locations nationwide beginning on May 1, 2016 at a SRP of $74.99 (1L).

I am from louisville Ky but am staying in ny for work and all you have to do is find a big liquor store and have them call and ask their makers mark representative, the store closest to me won’t even have them until mid May they said, around May 15 so just call and check

50,000 is a lot to me. They have a ton of them here in SC. So you can buy them in other states besides Kentucky. Too expensive for me. I don’t see this being worth anything.

I was told that only 18 liquor stores in the upstate of South Carolina where granted 6 bottle as piece defiantly something to pick up.

These bottles have gone on discount sale in North Carolina for around $40. I purchased one at this price and have seen about 30 in the few stores I have been to recently.
